Easter Wings Party

Let's Party!!
Our Wings Easter Party was held on Saturday, March 15th, at Hope Centre in Greeley. 50 guests and 43 volunteers came together to sing, make crafts, share stories and eat dinner.
One of the volunteers said it best when she stated, "it is such an honor to be here for one of these parties, to share the joy of the kids and to give back in full, the hope that is given to me."
It is always an honor to share the love of Christ to others.

Why a ministry like Wings??

• Over 3.5 million Americans are being supervised by the correctional system.
• The estimated cost to incarcerate an individual varies from $32,000 per year to over $130,000 per year!
• Children of prisoners are 6 – 8 times more likely to become incarcerated themselves.
• 78% of inmates claim to have had a relative in prison and 1 in 40 children in America have an incarcerated parent
• The national recidivism rate is about 75%.
• The prison population has more than doubled in the past 10 years.
• There are at least 2.5 million children in this country who have incarcerated parents.

Incarceration affects everyone!! The cost is high, not just economically, but emotionally, physically and spiritually as well. Those who have loved ones who are incarcerated often bear the brunt of the cost, with little to no support from those around them.
